A Little Chuckle at Microsoft’s Expense

I just couldn’t help but laugh when I read a report on the release of IE7 on Yahoo News. MS have decided to distribute IE7 to XP users via Microsoft Update as a security patch! Never a truer word said!

I think it was more like noone is downloading it.
I got it when they first made it available, and I removed it in the same day.
It was exactly the same as firefox, except about 3/4 times the size of it.
And sluggish to use, for some reason.
That they’d distribute it through security updates is underhanded at best (since it’s in your interest to update), and at its worse is kind of like the way adware and spyware gets into your system. Anything that you don’t directly consent to download should be considered an invasion.
