- Today, The Terminal is neglected, underused, and largely forgotten.
- Terminal.app is a text only interface which can run any text based app
    - usually runs a command shell
        - many different kinds of command shells
            - the oldest is the "born" shell: sh
            - Most common, and default, "born again," or bash
    - Terminal.app is found in /Applications/Utilities
