That worked with:
defaults write com.apple.x11 wm_ffm -bool true

You saved my life! I’ve been trying to find a way to disable this annoying feature ever since I foolishly enabled it … Programs should ALWAYS have a means to undo changes like this. Sheesh. Thanks!
